How Are Follicular Units Obtained?
Before the treatment, in order to determine the optimal number of hairs needed during hair transplantation to the balding areas, the follicular density of the donor area is measured.
After this measurement made by a microscobic camera, the size of the strip and the maximum number of follicular units that can be transplanted to this area is determined with a mathematical calculation. The strip extracted from the donor area is taken under local anaesthesia. Follicular unists are extracted using Single Strip Harvesting technique, which requires special skill and training.
